Doctor Batters Wife Over Refusal To Circumcise Daughter - Family

 A spouse of a scientific health practitioner, Na’omi Jolly, has alleged manhandling by her husband following her refusal to permit their daughter to be circumcised.

She advised Niger Delta Trust that her husband nearly killed her when he insisted on their daughter being circumcised and she refused.

According to her, the problem, which has degenerated to normal manhandling is currently being investigated by using the Cross River State Police Command.

She stated the trouble, that's now a nightmare to her, commenced in 2015 while she had her first infant.

She said all tries through a team of mediators from Cross River State Ministry of Justice, to resolve the issue further elicited more battery.

She said her refusal to allow her daughter to undergo circumcision stems from her personal enjoy when she was barely 12-years antique.

Madam Na’omi stated she almost bled to loss of life after her very own circumcision years ago.

“It all began in December 2015, when I gave start to my daughter, Amanda. After shipping, my husband asked me what I know about girl circumcision and I told him I don’t adore it in any respect. “Not being able to undergo the steady beating, in July 2019, we went to the Ministry of Justice, Calabar in which we both signed a memorandum of expertise yet the problem was no longer solved.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ajala Benjamin, Admin-Officer, to the Commissioner of Police, Cross River State, who confirmed the problem stated the case is currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
