Coach Eguavoen resigns from the Super Eagles
Following the failure of Nigeria's Super Eagles to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Augustine Eguavoen, the former Technical Adviser, has resigned with immediate effect.
Eguavoen has reportedly delivered a formal resignation letter to the NFF, according to Brila FM.
He'll resume his position as Technical Director for all national teams.
In the meantime, the NFF has revoked the two-and-a-half-year contract offered to the coaches and has terminated the team's entire technical staff with immediate effect.
After a thorough examination, a new crew will be named to spearhead the effort of reviving the Super Eagles and preparing them for future challenges.
"We appreciate the coaches and team officials' contributions to the team." Dr Mohammed Sanusi, NFF General Secretary, expressed his gratitude to the nation and wished them success in their future endeavors.
