Ghana-Nigeria match prompts the FG to ask civil servants to close by 1 p.m.
The federal government has directed civil servants to close by 1pm today, March 29, ahead of the match between the Nigerian Super Eagles and the Ghanaian Black Stars in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 playoff final battle.
They were asked to leave work early so that they could return home in time to cheer on the Super Eagles at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
The directive was contained in a memo signed by Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, the Permanent Secretary (Service Welfare Office) for the Federation's Head of Civil Service.
"There is a need to mobilize support for the Nigerian Team." As a result, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1 p.m. on Tuesday , March 29th, 2022
"Permanent Secretaries are requested to widely publicize this circular in order to achieve the desired result."
