It is quite unfortunate and surprising that the Senator representing Enugu West zone, former Deputy Senate President and 2023 governorship aspirant in Enugu, Senator Ike Ekweremadu is not conversant with the giant strides, developments and progresses so far made in various sectors in a state he is from and aspiring to govern. 

   This was exposed and made clear in what Ekweremadu presented at a media Parley in Best Western Hotel Independence Layout Enugu on March, 11, 2022 titled a path to new Enugu, where he as usual tried to bamboozle the people by playing to the gallery without anything meaningful or tangible to show, apart grandstanding and self aggrandizement. 

  The document which looked more like his governorship manifesto is hollow, theoretical, repetitive and misleading.

   In the presentation, Ekweremadu said he will make Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, a degree awarding institution. Chai, this is laughable and shameful. Is Ekweremadu saying that he is not aware that IMT Enugu has been upgraded massively in the areas of manpower and infrastructure and at the same time made a degree awarding institution by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's administration since almost four years now? 

   For Ekweremadu's information, IMT is already awarding degree in eight of its courses namely Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Banking and Finance, Statistics, Mass Communication, Computer Science and Accountancy, courtesy of Ugwuanyi's administration. 

  The first set of undergraduates of the institution who are doing their degree programmes in affiliation with University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) will be graduating this year. 

   How can a politician of Ekweremadu's status who is desperate to be Governor of Enugu by all means goofed like this? Does it mean that desperation and frustration has made Ekweremadu to be confused?

   Why didn't Ekweremadu acknowledged the unprecedented giant strides of Ugwuanyi's administration in IMT Enugu and how he will improve on it if he becomes governor? That is too hypocritical of him.
